Identify the original key and confirm cutting and programming requirements before ordering.
Our method
- Check the simplest cause.
- Compare a working spare when possible.
- Verify before ordering a replacement.
If you still have one working key, this is usually the best time to research a spare. Replacing a second key while one valid key remains can be simpler than recovering from having no working keys at all.
Before ordering anything
- Identify the exact year, make, model, and trim.
- Compare the part/FCC identifiers on the working key where available.
- Confirm whether cutting and programming are required.
- Find out whether your vehicle supports owner programming or requires professional equipment.
Never assume a key that looks identical will work with your vehicle.
