Key Fob Buttons Not Working
Some buttons work. Others need a hard press or do nothing.

Note exactly which buttons fail. Check the housing and button pad before replacing the whole key.
Our method
- Check the simplest cause.
- Compare a working spare when possible.
- Verify before ordering a replacement.
One or more dead buttons do not automatically mean the whole key fob needs replacement.
Common possibilities
- Weak battery
- Worn or damaged rubber button pad
- Cracked or displaced housing
- Dirty or damaged internal switch contacts
- Internal circuit-board damage
A useful clue
If one button fails while others still work reliably, a button, pad, or internal switch problem is often more plausible than a completely dead battery.
Before buying a shell
A replacement shell usually reuses your existing electronics and transponder components. Verify that the shell layout, blade style, and internal mounting points match your original key.
If you are not comfortable transferring the electronics, use a professional rather than forcing parts into a shell that does not fit.
